JUN_01 for Cardiovascular Risk in Type 2 diabetes

Junevity’s lead program, JUN_01, is a novel liver-targeted siRNA to treat the millions of Type 2 diabetes patients with residual cardiovascular risk. In non-human primate studies, JUN_01 has shown reductions in cardiovascular inflammation, blood sugar (HbA1c) and insulin resistance. JUN_01 could be the first T2D medicine with ultra-infrequent dosing of 1-2x per year to address adherence challenges. Junevity is preparing for first-in-human clinical trials in Q4 2026.

The long-term vision is to develop siRNA therapeutics to restore gene networks for all major tissues implicated in complex disease.
